Applications are invited to fill a postdoctoral position in condensed matter theory and quantum statistical physics at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (IPhT) of CEA Saclay.
The position is funded by the LABEX PALM through the project DynIntDisQuant, whose aim is to explore dynamical phenomena in interacting and disordered quantum systems far from thermal equilibrium.
Candidates with research experience in either non equilibrium quantum physics or disordered systems are especially encouraged to apply. Depending on the project and candidate’s expertise and preferences, the work might range from largely analytical to purely numerical.
The fellowship is for 2 years, with a flexible starting date in 2016, and includes competitive salary and benefits. The IPhT is located on the Saclay Plateau, about 40 minutes southwest of central Paris along the RER B train line, with dedicated commuter buses to and from various locations in Paris. Interactions with other researchers working on related topics both at the IPhT and in the Paris Area will be encouraged.
Applications including (a) a letter of motivation (b) a description of research interests (c) a CV with list of publications/preprints and (d) three letters of recommendation should be sent to Marco Schiro’ by email at the address firstname.lastname@example.org or uploaded online through AcademicJobsOnline.
Review of applications will begin on December 15th 2015 and will continue until the position is filled. For further information and inquiries please contact: email@example.com
